Clinical description:
Severe depression and high mortality commonly observed in birds with little or no immunity. Nervous signs occur in chickens (shown in this slide) with history of earlier vaccination that survive long enough time for them to occur. Nervous signs usually occurs in avian species that are capable of resisting early lethal infection (turkeys, pheasants, pigeons, parakeets, parrots ). This slide shows a normal parrot.
